Terms.
These terms govern the contract between Verein Waldkinder Uster and the families we serve. They apply alongside your individual enrolment agreement.
1. Enrolment
Enrolment is by trial morning, application, and offer. Places are confirmed on payment of the annual enrolment fee (CHF 180), at which point a binding contract is formed.
2. Fees and notice
Fees are billed monthly in advance. Notice of withdrawal is two months, given in writing to the end of a calendar month. Fees remain payable through the notice period.
3. Days lost to weather, illness, holidays
We operate in all weather except declared safety risk (lightning, sustained winds >60 km/h, ice storms). Days lost to safety closures are credited to your next invoice. Days lost to your child's illness or family travel are not refundable. Public-holiday closures are baked into the term price.
4. Insurance and liability
The Verein carries third-party liability insurance up to CHF 5 million (Mobiliar, see Impressum). Each child must be covered by their family's accident insurance (Unfallversicherung). We are not liable for personal items lost or damaged in the forest.
5. Photos
Photographs are governed by the consent toggles in your parent portal — see Privacy.
6. Pickup, late pickup, missed pickup
Children must be collected by a named, authorised adult. Late pickup (after 12:35) incurs a CHF 30 fee per quarter-hour. Missed pickup triggers our emergency-contact protocol and may, ultimately, involve KESB.
7. Termination by us
We reserve the right to terminate enrolment with two months' notice if the placement is no longer in the child's interest, with one month's notice for repeated non-payment, and without notice for serious breach.
8. Governing law
Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction: Uster, Canton of Zürich.
